Mesa Water Systems by My Home Water System

Mesa water by zone

Mesa's water service is split into three zones that draw on different rivers. The 2025 report gives about 12 grains per gallon for the City Zone and 16 for the Eastern and Southern Zones.

Which one serves my home?

Mesa's 2025 report shows the zones only on its Water Source Zones map. Its 2017 report used the Eastern Canal as the line between the City and Eastern Zones; the canal runs southeast from Gilbert and McDowell Roads to Greenfield and Baseline Roads. The 2025 report also says every zone may get groundwater or a blend at times.

City Zone

The City Zone is on one side of the Eastern Canal, which the 2017 report used as its boundary with the Eastern Zone. Source: Mesa 2017 Water Quality Consumer Confidence Report.

About 205 mg/L, which is our conversion of the published grains at 17.1 mg/L per grain. That reads as very hard on the USGS scale.

Eastern Zone

The Eastern Zone is across the Eastern Canal from the City Zone, as the 2017 report drew the line. Source: Mesa 2017 Water Quality Consumer Confidence Report.

About 274 mg/L, which is our conversion of the published grains at 17.1 mg/L per grain. That reads as very hard on the USGS scale.

Southern Zone

The 2025 report shows the Southern Zone on its map but does not describe its boundary in words. Source: Mesa 2025 Water Quality Report.

About 274 mg/L, which is our conversion of the published grains at 17.1 mg/L per grain. That reads as very hard on the USGS scale.

Across the 3 Mesa areas above, the figures, with grains figures converted at our stated rate, run 205 to 274 mg/L, which sits in the USGS very hard class. Each is a plant, well or area figure, not a reading at one address. (USGS hardness classes)
